AI Agents for Google & Meta Ads Management | HeyMetrix

The Agent System

AI agents that manage ads, not a chatbot on a dashboard

HeyMetrix ships five specialized AI agents for ads management: they build Google and Meta campaign drafts, set up monitoring alerts, configure automations, and assemble client reports. Each agent is docked in its view with full context and acts through ~50 tools. You review and approve important steps.

Most “AI for ads” is either a chat window that answers questions or a black-box optimizer inside the ad platform. HeyMetrix agents are a third thing: assistants embedded in the actual workflow that do the work with you.

  • 5 specialized agents
  • ~50 tools across the platform
  • Approval before important actions
  • Persistent memory per project
  • English and German

What is an AI agent for ads management?

An AI agent for ads management is an assistant that doesn't just answer questions about your campaigns but executes real tasks in them: creating drafts, setting alerts, building report pages, configuring automation rules. The difference to a chatbot is action; the difference to platform automation (like Smart Bidding) is that it works across your whole workflow and explains itself.

In HeyMetrix, agents are docked as side panels directly in the view they belong to. The monitoring agent sees the project you have open, the reporting agent sees the report you're editing. There is no copy-pasting context into a separate chat window.

Which agents does HeyMetrix include?

Five agents, each specialized for one part of the workflow and equipped with the tools of that area:

AgentWhere it worksWhat it does
HeyMetrix AgentDashboardOrg-wide overview, cross-project metrics, navigation and setup guidance; greets new users with an onboarding walkthrough.
Monitoring AgentProject viewReads metrics, issues and alerts; sets up metric alerts on request; explains performance changes; configures table columns.
Reporting AgentReport editorBuilds and edits report pages: adds widgets, fetches metrics, writes copy from the live numbers.
Campaign AssistantCampaign builderRuns the build pipeline, generates keywords and ad copy, manages images, processes client feedback into alternatives.
Benchmarking AgentBenchmark explorer (pre-release)Period and industry comparisons, forecasts, anomaly detection.

What can the agents actually do?

Agents act through roughly 50 concrete tools across the platform. A few examples of requests that result in real actions, not just text:

  • “Set an alert if CPA on this campaign rises more than 25%.” The agent creates the metric alert with thresholds.
  • “Add a Google deep-dive page and a GA4 page to this report.” It builds the pages with live-data widgets and written summaries.
  • “Generate three alternative headlines from the client's feedback.” It reads the feedback thread and drafts ready-made alternatives.
  • “Suggest an automation for this project.” It proposes a complete weather/time scenario based on the campaigns' geo targeting.

Do the agents act without my approval?

No. HeyMetrix is built approval-first: agents confirm important steps before executing them, and everything they change is visible and reversible in the normal UI. You stay the operator; the agent is the fast pair of hands.

How do the agents know my accounts and clients?

Three context layers. First, the docked position: every agent sees the project, campaign, or report you're currently working on. Second, ingestion: agents read PDFs, Excel media plans, Trello cards, and landing page URLs you hand them. Third, persistent memory per project: preferences discovered in conversation (“this client hates superlatives”) are stored and respected in all future work.

Do the agents invent numbers?

No, and this is a hard design rule. Keyword volumes and CPC ranges come from Google Keyword Planner; performance data comes live from the Google Ads, Meta, and GA4 APIs. If a number isn't in the data, the agent says so instead of estimating it. Manually provided keywords are even tracked separately from researched ones, so real data is never conflated with assumptions.

How is this different from a chatbot or Smart Bidding?

The three approaches solve different problems. A fair comparison:

Honest scope

HeyMetrix agents publish new campaigns and execute automation actions (status, budgets), but they are not a general-purpose live-campaign editor: no bid-strategy changes or creative edits on already-running campaigns. Platform-native optimization like Smart Bidding stays with the platform; the agents complement it, they don't replace it.

Frequently asked questions about ads AI agents

Is there an AI agent that can manage Google Ads?

HeyMetrix provides specialized AI agents for Google Ads and Meta Ads that build campaign drafts from a briefing, monitor performance with alerts and hourly status checks, configure weather/time automations, and assemble client reports, with human approval on important steps.

How is this different from Google's own AI features?

Google's AI (Smart Bidding, PMax, Ask Advisor) optimizes within Google's platform. HeyMetrix agents work across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and GA4 and cover the agency workflow around the platforms: briefing, drafting, client review, monitoring, reporting.

Can the agents change my live campaigns without asking?

No. Agents confirm important steps before acting. Automated changes (Signal Automation) only happen through rules you explicitly configured, with test mode, backtesting, and a full audit trail.

Do the agents work in German?

Yes. The full platform including all agents, generated ad copy, briefings, and emails works in both English and German.

Where do the agents get their numbers?

Exclusively from real sources: Google Keyword Planner for search volumes and CPC ranges, and the official Google Ads, Meta, and GA4 APIs for performance data. Agents are explicitly built to never invent metrics.
