AI Campaign Builder for Google Ads & Meta Ads | HeyMetrix

Campaign Builder

Build Google & Meta campaigns with AI, in ~30 minutes

The HeyMetrix Campaign Builder takes a campaign from briefing to published in about 30 minutes instead of 2–3 hours of manual setup: it researches keywords with real Google Keyword Planner data, generates ad copy and assets, runs a structured client review, and publishes directly to Google Ads or Meta. Always paused, always with your approval.

Every step produces a reviewable artifact (keyword clusters, ads, assets, images) that you can edit before moving on. The AI does the legwork; you keep editorial control.

  • ~30 min instead of 2–3 hours
  • Real Keyword Planner data
  • Google Search + Meta image ads
  • Client review built in
  • Publishes paused, or CSV export

How does the AI campaign builder work?

The builder is a step-based pipeline with five phases. You can let the campaign assistant run steps for you or work through them yourself. The result of every step is editable before the next one starts.

  1. 1Briefing: free text, an Excel media plan, or a Trello card (including embedded images and verbatim ad copy; linked cards stay synced nightly).
  2. 2Research: automated landing page analysis (tone, formality, offerings, USPs, CTAs) plus real Google Keyword Planner data: search volumes, CPC ranges, competition.
  3. 3Creation: keyword clustering into ad groups, responsive search ads, sitelinks and extensions, image analysis and smart cropping. Every artifact is reviewable.
  4. 4Client review: share the draft; clients comment on specific headlines, keywords, and images; the AI turns feedback into ready-made alternatives.
  5. 5Publish: one click to Google Ads or Meta (campaigns are always created paused), or CSV export for Google Ads Editor; then link into monitoring with AI-suggested alerts.

What can serve as the briefing?

Whatever you already have. Free text works, but the builder is designed for real agency inputs: Excel media plans are parsed directly, and Trello cards can be imported including their images and any verbatim ad copy. Copy your client already approved is kept word-for-word, not paraphrased. Landing page URLs round out the picture: HeyMetrix analyzes tone, formality (German Sie/du), offerings, target audience, and CTAs from the page itself.

Where does the keyword data come from?

From Google Keyword Planner, the same data source your manual research uses. Search volumes, CPC ranges, and competition levels are real numbers, not model estimates. Keywords you provide manually are tracked separately from researched keywords, so you always know which numbers are validated and which are assumptions.

The AI clusters keywords into ad groups with match types and proposes negative keywords with a stated reason for each. No silent exclusions.

What does the AI generate?

Depending on campaign type, the creation phase produces:

  • Responsive search ads: headlines and descriptions per ad group, in the campaign's ad language, respecting character limits.
  • Assets: sitelinks, callouts, and structured snippets matching the landing page content.
  • Images: AI vision analysis of each uploaded image (subject, edges, logo/text detection), clustering into motive sets, and smart cropping to all required aspect ratios (1.91:1, 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 4:1).
  • Meta campaigns: ad set structure, targeting, Pixel tracking setup, ad text, and Page/Instagram identity handling.
  • Previews: rendered Google search previews and Meta placement previews of the actual ads before anything goes live.

Which campaign types are supported?

Google Search and Meta image campaigns are the mature, fully supported paths. Three further Google types are available but flagged experimental:

PlatformCampaign typeStatus
Google AdsSearchFully supported
Meta AdsImage ads (Facebook/Instagram)Fully supported
Google AdsPerformance MaxExperimental
Google AdsDemand GenExperimental
Google AdsDisplayExperimental

How does the client review work?

You share the draft with your client as an external viewer: their own login, read-only, seeing exactly this draft. Clients comment on specific elements: a headline, a keyword, an image. Feedback arrives as threads with statuses (open, in review, resolved), your team gets an hourly digest email, and the AI generates ready-made alternatives from the feedback so the revision loop takes minutes, not another meeting.

How does publishing work, and how safe is it?

After validation, one click publishes the complete structure (campaigns, ad groups, ads, extensions) directly to Google Ads or Meta through the official APIs. Two safety properties matter: campaigns are always created paused, so nothing spends before you flip the switch; and you can alternatively export a CSV for Google Ads Editor if you prefer to import manually.

After publishing, the build links into a monitoring project, with alert suggestions generated from the campaign's characteristics and a Forecast tab that estimates performance before launch.

Honest scope

The builder creates and publishes new campaigns; it does not edit campaigns that are already running (no bid-strategy or creative changes on live campaigns). Performance Max, Demand Gen, and Display are experimental; Google Search and Meta image campaigns are the recommended paths. HeyMetrix is in early access.

Frequently asked questions about the campaign builder

Can AI really create a complete Google Ads campaign?

Yes: keyword research, ad group structure, responsive search ads, extensions, and tracking, generated from your briefing and reviewed by you at every step. Typical time from briefing to publishable campaign is about 30 minutes including your review, versus 2–3 hours manually.

Are the search volumes and CPCs real or AI-estimated?

Real. They come from Google Keyword Planner via your connected Google Ads account. HeyMetrix agents are explicitly built to never invent metrics.

Does it publish directly to the ad account?

Yes, via the official Google Ads and Meta APIs. Campaigns are always created paused, so you control the go-live. Alternatively, export as CSV for Google Ads Editor.

Is my approved ad copy kept word-for-word?

Yes. Verbatim copy from briefings or Trello cards is preserved exactly. The AI only generates copy where none was provided, and marks the difference.

Can my client review the campaign before it goes live?

Yes, that's a built-in phase. Clients get read-only access to the draft, comment on specific headlines, keywords, and images, and the AI generates alternatives from their feedback.

Which briefing formats does it accept?

Free text, Excel media plans, and Trello cards (including embedded images). Landing page URLs are analyzed automatically for tone, offerings, and CTAs.
